As DHL Parcel Benelux with over 6,000 employees we are committed to parcel delivery in e-commerce. We also focus on pallet transport, for which we are market leader in the Benelux.

Top Position
In Strategy 2020, the strategy of our parent group Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL), acquiring a top position in consumer delivery is a spearhead of our policy. By facilitating the lives of our customers we are aiming to expand our leading position further in both the corporate and the consumer market.

e-Commerce developments
For years, we have held a solid position in the Benelux for parcel transport to consumers. Already in the 1980s, Selektvracht was founded in the Netherlands as a specialist in what was then still called the mail order industry. We now have a leading position in the Netherlands as a carrier for well-known online stores and the name Selektvracht has been replaced by DHL Parcel. Developments for which we are already leading with respect to e-commerce - and which we will also apply in Belgium - are delivery via DHL Parcelshops (we currently have 2,000 parcelshops in the Benelux), delivery in time windows of two to four hours, smooth reverse logistics and providing transparency through notification and track & trace.



Parcel Benelux follows the successful model of DHL Paket in Germany. There it has now become the fastest growing unit of DPDHL: with a volume of over one billion parcels the turnover increased in 2013 to a record level of EUR 3.8 billion. Globally, DHL Paket is considered a benchmark for success and innovation in e-commerce.

For companies and consumers
In the Benelux, DHL Parcel has over 2,100 branches, including 2,000 Parcelshops, which provide a finely meshed network for consumer delivery. Furthermore, there are 15 terminals distributed over the Benelux via which the distribution for the corporate market has been organised. This network processes both packages and pallets.

Both networks are linked together in order to entirely manage the flow of goods in the corporate and the consumer market, and all of this takes place in a cross-border network. This is particularly interesting for companies that deliver to both corporate and private clients. Services are also available for consumers or small web shops. For the purpose of e-commerce the networks have been fully designed for services in the field of reverse logistics.

International transport of parcels and pallets
Within distribution countries like the Netherlands and Belgium there is a substantial need for a European network that is capable of combining separate shipments and pallet shipments. Using our finely meshed network we deliver shipments varying from one parcel to several pallets from anywhere in the Benelux to any place elsewhere in Europe within two to four days.
